Yohanna Florentino*

Actor, Estella, Laughs in Spanish

Yohanna Florentino is thrilled and grateful to embark on this new adventure playing the captivating Estella, working with KTC for the first time, and with directors, Darrel & Emily, cast and crew! Yohanna was recently seen in Intar Theatre’s well received production of Vámonos. Her work in The Old Settler with Morningside Players Theater won an AUDELCO Award. Other theatre credits include Missing Socks and a Line of Coke (or The Baby Fever Play) (People's Theatre Project), Mecca Is Burning (Negro Ensemble Theatre), Fractured (New Circle Theatre Company), The Cooking Project (New York Theatre Workshop), 48 Hours in…El Bronx (Harlem9), Pegao (HartBeat Ensemble), and Zooman and the Sign (Frederick Loewe Theatre). TV and Film credits include: FBI: MOST WANTED (CBS) and Dark Seed (Deep Water Productions). Training: The Actors Center, Black Arts Institute, The Freeman Studio and Hunter College. Yohanna is a Black artist born in the Dominican Republic who intends to represent the broadness and brilliance of Black people from the diaspora to help unite, heal and inspire; just don’t mess with her because she’s trained in Capoeira!
