Brian Dykstra (Grant) is an actor, writer, and HBO Def Poet. Previously at The Kitchen Theatre, his own plays: Clean Alternatives, STRANGERHORSE, The Two of You, and A Play On Words. Also, Seminar and Private Lives. Film and TV credits include The Blacklist, The Affair, Stay, Knight & Day, Bull, Third Watch, Law & Order. He is perhaps best known for playing Jasper, Dave Chappelle’s side kick, in ‘Blind Hatred’ where Dave plays a blind white supremacist. He appeared on Broadway with Tom Hanks in Lucky Guy directed by George C. Wolfe and with Brian Cox in The Great Society.  His Regional Theater credits include Rooster Byron in Jerusalem, LBJ in both All The Way and Hold On, Heisenberg in Copenhagen, Mark Rothko in Red, Erik in The Humans, Torvald in A Doll’s House 2, Eddie Carbone in A view From The Bridge, Pete Rose in Banned From Baseball, MacDuff, Sir Toby, Banquo, Benedick, Don John, King John, Capulet, etc. He received his MFA from the Mason Gross School of the Arts and his BA from California State University Long Beach for which he received the Distinguished Alumni Award.
