Kitchen Sink

The Kitchen Sink Series at the Kitchen Theatre Company provides an opportunity for artistic engagement and community collaboration. Actors, directors, musicians, theater companies from the community are encouraged to use our new 99-seat theatre to share their work with a wider audience—their usual supporters, plus Kitchen Theatre-goers.

The Kitchen Sink Series welcomes many artistic expressions: theatre, music, and film. We encourage emerging artists to boldly share something new—be it traditional, experimental, avant-garde, or anything in between. We offer established performers and groups the chance to explore a different space or a work-in-progress.

Part of the Kitchen Sink series includes readings and productions by area theater companies, including the Civic Ensemble and Homecoming Players.

Kitchen Theatre Company accepts applications from individuals and groups to use the space under the umbrella of the Kitchen Sink.  Selected performers and groups have the opportunity to perform in a professional theatre space, to publicize events on our website and through our social media, and to show their work in a convenient, comfortable downtown location, easily accessible to all of Ithaca.
