Front of House Trainee Program

Young people ages 18-24 are encouraged to apply to join the highly motivated, team-oriented staff of Kitchen Theatre Company in this entry-level new jobs program. Kitchen Theatre offers 2 part-time positions for our trainee program.

Successful applicants work 15-20 hours a week at the theatre gaining hands-on experience and knowledge in all aspects of Front of House Management, including computerized ticket sales, concessions sales and management, customer service, opening and closing of the theatre, and audience safety procedures. Apply now!

Kitchen Sink Series

The Kitchen Sink offers performers and groups within the greater Ithaca community the opportunity to perform in a professional theatre.The Kitchen Sink is perfect for readings, concerts, screenings, full productions, and everything in between.

The Kitchen Theatre is available to rent for private events. In the past, the Kitchen has served as a venue for galas, parties, weddings, and rehearsals. The capacity of our theater is 99 and our lobby is 130.

Kitchen Theatre Company Play Submission Guidelines

Kitchen Theatre Company will accept submissions from agencies in the United States‚ Canada‚ and the UK, and agents are recommended to contact the theatre by phone or email in advance of submissions. Unsolicited submissions from writers without agents will not be accepted, unless the writer lives within a 60 mile radius of the theatre. We accept full scripts only — no queries‚ summaries‚ or sample pages‚ please.
